    Best. Cover. Ever.

  2. mark says:

Whoo Hooo. Can’t wait. Been doing loads of twisted of late – it’s such a cool framework.

  3. Abe says:

speno: The funny thing is, I actually had typed those exact words above the cover image, but I took them out before posting to let people draw their own conclusions. So now I can say it: I agree, it truly is the best cover ever. The O’Reilly designers nailed it.

  4. Andrew says:

That cover is awesome. I’m really looking forward to this!

  5. Max Khesin says:

Is there an ISBN #? I want to add it to my Amazon wish list!

  6. Ed Suominen says:

I’m very glad to see a book that will (hopefully) shed some light on a very complex and powerful, but difficult to understand package. I’ll be buying this just as soon as I can!

  7. Can I add my voice to the chorus of fans of the cover? Because that *IS* the best O’Reilly cover I’ve ever seen. Also, having seen the inside, the best cover ever is on a deserving book ;). Great work, Abe!

  8. Abe says:

Ladies and gentlemen, Glyph Lefkowitz, who kindly wrote the introduction for the book. Thanks Glyph!

  9. julien says:

Wow, can’t wait for it to become available!

  10. Daverz says:

I’ve pre-ordered a copy. It’ll be nice to fill in the gaping holes in my understanding of twisted.

  11. Ken Norton says:

Abe, I must weigh in and lend my support to that cover! Coolest O’Reilly cover since sed & awk.

  12. ralphm says:

Awesome cover! Can’t wait to see the rest.

  13. Jeremy Dunck says:

    The ISBN is 0-596-10032-9.

That cover is INSANE! I love it. We’ve *got* to get Twisted T-shirts with that on there…

  15. kpd says:

    Yup, best cover EVER

  16. David says:

I always liked O’Reilly’s covers, but this one has additional coolness: it quite represents Twisted! I can see this and think ‘oh, it has to do with a python framework’…

Tell me how many of you saw the one with a camel (in fact a dromedary) and thougt ‘ohh… this one is about…’.

    Best regards, Abe.

  17. frank says:

Is there any reason why your book has been removed from the ‘New & Upcoming Titles’ section on the O’Reilly website? It was definitely there a couple of weeks ago.

  18. I had the honor of editing Abe’s book. (hint, he’s really quite a good writer) Frank asks why Abe’s book has disappeared from our “New & Upcomming Books” page. Truth is, I don’t know, yet, but I’m working to find out. We’ve a lot of books in production right now. Probably some overworked soul just mis-edited the page.

The book is still on track though. Let me assure you of that. I just today reviewed the first cover mechanical (an image showing the front, back, and spine). The book should go to print very soon.

I’m glad you all like cover. It was designed, I believe, by one Mike Kohnke. He did a fantastic job picking one of the most appropriate cover images that I’ve ever seen.

    I want a t-shirt too :-)
